Designed for: Any employee who is a potential, or appointed, Construction Site Fire Safety Co-ordinator.

Objectives: To enable staff to understand their role with regards fire safety on the construction site. To provide them with a clear understanding of the principles contained within the "Joint Code of Practice" thus preparing them for their role as the fire safety co-ordinator.

  • Legislation and compliance
  • Fire risks on construction sites
  • LPG and flammable materials
  • Means of escape
  • Site Fire Plan
  • The Fire Safety Co-ordinator
  • Fire protection on the site
  • Implementing the site Fire and Emergency Plan
  • Examples of good and bad practice

On completion of the course a certificate will be awarded to successful staff.

Staff will achieve maximum benefit from this course if they have attended a Fire Warden course in the previous twelve months, or alternatively a Fire Warden course can be held prior to this presentation.
