Construction Site Fire Safety Coordinators
Designed for: Any employee who is a potential, or appointed, Construction Site Fire Safety Co-ordinator.
Objectives: To enable staff to understand their role with regards fire safety on the construction site. To provide them with a clear understanding of the principles contained within the "Joint Code of Practice" thus preparing them for their role as the fire safety co-ordinator.
Course Content:
- Legislation and compliance
- Fire risks on construction sites
- LPG and flammable materials
- Means of escape
- Site Fire Plan
- The Fire Safety Co-ordinator
- Fire protection on the site
- Implementing the site Fire and Emergency Plan
- Examples of good and bad practice
On completion of the course a certificate will be awarded to successful staff.
Staff will achieve maximum benefit from this course if they have attended a Fire Warden course in the previous twelve months, or alternatively a Fire Warden course can be held prior to this presentation.
