EFR Annual Refresher (half day)

Designed for: Personnel who require annual refresher training to enable them to keep their practical skills sharp.

Although the HSE strongly recommends annual refresher training, it is not mandatory and therefore not a legal requirement.

Objectives: By the end of the course, delegates will be able to demonstrate their competence to:

  • Assess the situation in an emergency.
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure).
  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding.
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.

Course Content:

  • The Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (Great Britain) requalification course is a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved first aid course for training in first aid for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This programme meets the statutory needs of employers in England, Scotland and Wales needing at least one First Aider on the premises.

This course will include group discussions, multi-choice questionnaire and two practical assessments.

On completion of the course a certificate and qualification card will be awarded to each successful staff member. The participating Company are presented with a Corporate Certificate.
